VFest 07 – Enter Shikari

Listen up everyone – you are going to LOVE Enter Shikari once they finally ‘break’ North America. I just came back from the Future Shop stage where they performed a 40 minute set (our treat, they played an extra ten minutes!). It’s such a shame that they weren’t on the main stage today because the ravenous crowd that’s formed for Billy Talent would have loved it!

Let me just say that their set was RIDICULOUS – it was like a crazy synth/hardcore mashup with both melody and shrieks, breakdancing, cartwheels, pogoing, freestyle dance and more. I got devoured in the mosh pit and am now completely covered in mud (yeah, it’s STILL raining!) but now I have been sufficiently rocked in time for MCR.

Stay tuned for my interview with the band later this week – they’re playing a tiny Toronto gig on Wednesday night and I think my face might melt afterwards. After I post the interview, of course. :)
