Hmm. Everything at VFest has been super punctual and according to plan, but The Killers, whose performance just ended, ruined the streak! They went on 10 minutes late and ended 15 minutes early! Booo…but they sounded GREAT!
They played all of the classics you’d expect - Somebody Told Me, Mr. Brightside, Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine, When You Were Young, Smile Like You Mean It, Confessions Of A Bling King, and of course All These Things That I’ve Done was the final closer! Very epic and VERY loud. Even from ~300 feet away in our little box it was deafeningly loud and I had to shout to the person sitting next to me.
There is a MASS exodus happening right now. People are fleeing the field as though they’re being chased by velociraptors. These people have places to go! We had an AMAZING time! I can’t wait to recap all of the excitement by watching the performances in MuchAXS a couple days from now!

You have to remember that Brandon was ill and had cancelled their performance in Seattle just to be able to perform at V-fest!
The Killers have had to postpone Denver’s performance at Red Rocks Amphitheatre on Thursday May 17th and tonight’s performance at Seattle’s WaMu Theatre due to illness. The band also had to bow out of an appearance last night at KROQ’s Weenie Roast. Brandon Flowers is improving, but has been unable to sing due to bronchitis.
The Denver show has been rescheduled for September 4, 2007 and the Seattle show has been rescheduled for May 27, 2007. Fans should hang onto their tickets and bring them to the rescheduled dates. The band regrets this inconvenience and looks forward to playing the rescheduled shows for its Denver and Seattle fans.
Yes! True enough. Thanks for the update Jussi…
I didn’t realize that so many other shows were being rescheduled. I knew about the Denver one. Brandon still sounded great despite his voice problems. It’s actually amazing to me how certain singers who have REALLY powerful vocal sections in their songs are able to sustain such great quality from show to show, and not somehow permanently damage their vocal cords, ya know?
I found this link from Heavy.com, which allows a band to submit a video in a battle of the bands type competition. the winner gets $5000 and the chance to play at Vfest in September. It sounds awesome, but I was just wondering if anyone else has heard about this competition and if it is legit. If it is, it is amazing.
Anyway, here is the link for the contest:
You. A friend. A plane. Two tickets to see Adam Lambert. O. M. G.
