Well, it seems our wires for Smashing Pumpkins photo permissions got crossed, so we scrambled to snap a few from the crowd. While we wait for Wendy to wade her way back here, please enjoy these snaps I took of the broadcast on MuchLoud. Who knew my pics of a television screen would turn out so well??

Here’s the final setlist!

Hummer
Stand Inside Your Love
Tonight, Tonight
Tarantula

Encore:

Today

They were supposed to come back on to play Muzzle but it was already 10:57 at the end of Today, and there’s that pesky island curfew of 11pm. Too bad, woulda loved to hear it!

What’d you think? Too much Zeitgeist (only six songs; coulda been worse)? Not enough Gish (ie zero songs)? They tore through eighteen tracks; here’s the breakdown:

Zeitgeist (6)
Mellon Collie & The Infinite Sadness (4)
Siamese Dream (2)
Machina (2)
Pisces Iscariot (1)
Adore (1)
Machines Of God (1)
Uncategorized/New (1)

So Day 2’s a wrap! WE ARE OFFICIALLYEXHAUSTED!! My eyes are closing as I type this. Time to go home!

In the meantime, watch highlights from yesterday’s main stage in MuchAXS, and then stay tuned tomorrow afternoon for MORE video from today! Metric, The Smashing Pumpkins, Jamie T., Tokyo Police Club, Earl Greyhound, Stars & more!

  1. “Why play so much Zeitgeist?” well, uh, it’s their new album and they’re promoting it….not just playing the hits.

  2. Sounds fair enough to me.

  3. great setlist!

  4. He looks like Powder in those pics lol

  5. Pretty kick ass set if you ask me. Lots of heavy metal jams. They really do need to bust out a Gish song for this tour though. Siva or I am One wouldn’t look that out of place. Hopefully they’ll still be playing Starla when they pass through Vancouver.

  6. I am not really much of a fan i think they are getting to old to relate to there target audience

  7. @Senester

Amen to THAT! I’m so tired of hearing about Billy Corgan this, Billy Corgan that… I f*cking hate Billy Corgan.

Their first two and a half offerings were great (there was only one album worth of good songs on Melon Collie). But since then they have been absolute rubbish.

On top of that, Billy Corgan is a weird, creepy , jerk of a musician. ‘ohhh, you can’t take pictures of my band while we play’.

    @Billy Corgan

Get over yourself. You’re just a dude who can play guitar and kind of (barely) knows how to sing. On top of that you’re unnerving to look at. Heck, your band fellow Pumpkins can barely stand you and you’re paying them to tour with you. In closing, please stop making music.

  8. He DOES look like Powder. I just didn’t wanna be the first to say it.

  9. no HE IS POWDER

  10. Wait a minute.

If he IS Powder, that must mean Ryan O. is friends with him…b/c he’s best friends with the guy who played Powder.

    WTF?
