VFest 2007: From England With Love

Holy pup sh*t!
This year’s Virgin Fest news has started to trickle in over at Emerge’s blog - an announcement has been made about the Vancouver edition, to take place on May 20/21 with Toronto’s festival to follow in early fall on September 8/9. It’s too early to know who’s confirmed for the fall dates, but for now, chew on this Vancouver lineup (so far):

Hot Hot Heat
So that’s six artists. With over 30 promised, there are 24 spots left to fill. I can only speculate, but here is my dream lineup/speculation for the big acts, based on artists that are buzzing/releasing stuff this year:

Interpol
Arcade Fire
Tokyo Police Club
Kaiser Chiefs
Linkin Park

Blur
Massive Attack (pending visa application :P)
Malajube
The MuchMusic.com team had a phenomenal time at last year’s Virgin Fest - I can’t wait for this year’s festival! If my lineup predictions come true, I may die of an aneurysm.

WOW - you’re going to see AF in Montreal? That is a wicked gift, and super hard to get! I was JUST listening to the album, trying to decide which track I love best. Eff it. I can’t decide.

Woot BP! You know Albert from the Strokes is opening? I jsut got his solo album for my brithday and it’s sooo good! Sebastian from DFA 179 is going to open too I think!

By the way nice choices, I recently just feel in love with Interpol, I’m seeing Bloc Party live for a 2nd time in March, I’m going to see Arcade Fire in Montreal(best 16th b-day present ever!), I’m missing both TPC gigs but they’re so the next big thing, and I’m currently trying to find someone to come to Kaiser Chiefs with me! Have you heard their new single Ruby?
