VFest Calgary: Face To Face

After a three year hiatus, Face To Face are finally back and performing for the first time since spring 2004. They’ve got a short U.S. tour kicking off this fall, but the California punkers grazed the Virgin Festival stage earlier today. 2008 marks the first time that the Face To Face lineup of Trevor, Chad, Scott and Pete have shared a stage since the Ignorance Is Bliss lineup in 2001.

How happy was I to hear I Won’t Lie Down from their 1996 self-titled album!? Quite happy indeed. They sounded great - and despite the early set time, there was a pretty big crowd gathering to see them perform!

it feels like most everything’s out of focus in my mind i’m trying to make some sense out of what i left behind the difference in who i am and the one want to be it seemed so much easier when there was something to believe

I can’t wait to see them in Vegas on the 15th. I saw them a few time’s in Toronto for the Reactionary tour. This is a little while after Chad left the band due to “girlfriend/relationship issues” It’s gonna be rad hearing some of their older material but I’m also looking forward to hearing the new shit for sure. Vegas here I come. And it’s my first trip to the U.S.A.
