VFest Calgary: The Flaming Lips

Guess who just watched The Flaming Lips perform from backstage? Well, side stage, actually. And I was unknowingly standing right next to STP-er Dean DeLeo the entire time. It was AMAZING. Anyone who hasn’t delved deep into The Lips’ back catalogue needs to do so ASAP, cause there’s really something for everyone.

I mean, Wayne Coyne is just about the sweetest, most humble, caring “rockstar” you’ll ever meet. And the band puts on such a spectacular show…from the confetti, to the teletubbies, to the stability balls and the giant bubble, how can you go wrong adding The Flaming Lips to a summer festival??
