Watch the video: Great Apes “Tell Me That I’m Good”

Wowwy zowwy, check out the Lego! From about 5 seconds in, I learned to quickly appreciate just how long it must’ve taken to make this video. Of course, I’m speaking from the point of view of someone who was less-adventurous with Legos growing up. I think I was too concerned about how much of a pain in the butt they were to pull apart or how they hurt my fingers when I tried. (I think I just realized how big of a wimp I was as a child.)

I love how using Legos didn’t at all restrict the making of this video. I mean, you have the keyboard playing each key, the lead singer dancing *to the beat* and you even have the drummer in sync with the music. I know these elements seem very basic when dealing with your expectations for a music video, but the fact that it’s all done with Lego is what blows my mind.

And if the Lego stage, band members, crowd scenes or even those cute little Lego trees that I completely forgot about don’t get you going, then I’m pretty sure the dancing robot will. You know what, Great Apes? I’m not going to tell you you’re good. As a matter of fact, I won’t even say you’re great…but I will say you’re awesome. This video has inspired to me step up my Lego game in a way I’ve never done before. Thank you, Great Apes. Thank you.
