I swear this song doesn’t get old for me … and I say this after hearing it at least 20 times in the last 24 hours. (Seriously, I’m addicted.) The video has the same kind of magic and excitement as Willy Wonka did when I was growing up, minus the candy and greedy kids, of course. Jamie’s walking around in this all-white suit, over blocks that light up with every step. He meets these 3 girls along the way that are missing one of their senses and he ‘hooks them up’, as the cool kids say. One girl got a mouth for speech, another girl got ears for hearing, but check this out - the last girl needed eyes for sight and up until this third girl, Jamie was giving out real body parts. As if I didn’t love this video already, he goes and gives her googly eyeglasses. Seriously, when’s the last time you saw googly eyes? Scratch that, when’s the last time you said the term ‘googly eyes’? You can’t say it or see it without smiling, can you? It’s official, this video is my new ‘pick-me-up’ for Monday mornings.
