Watch the Video: ‘Knock You Down’

Ooooh. What a delicious collabo! Individually, these 3 artists are a knockout. But when you put them together on one track, it’s like a supercharged fist of musical lightning hitting you right in your ears. Ok, maybe that doesn’t sound so attractive…but you get my point. I think the stand out parts of this video are the slow-motion shots of Kanye and Keri literally falling back, reminiscent of those Ice Tea commercials from a couple of years ago that conveniently played on the hottest summer days when all you had in your fridge was water. (Boooooring!) When I first saw Keri falling, I thought it seemed corny. But when Kanye did it, he made it look cool and suddenly my opinion of it changed. (Maybe it was the shades)

And of course, I wouldn’t be a huge Ne-Yo fan if I didn’t say that his being part of this song made my day. It was a good move on Keri Hilson’s part to have Kanye and Ne-Yo featured on this track. (Are there any better choices?) I chose this video because these 3 artists always put out good music and in the words of Lil’ Mama and all of the judges on all seasons of Dance Crew…”I appreciate that.”
