So the headliners for Vfest Toronto were just announced and they couldn’t be any bigger: Foo Fighters and Oasis headline this year’s VFest which will take place September 6 & 7 on Toronto Island.
How much better can this show get you ask? Well supporting acts include Bloc Party, Stereophonics, Pigeon Detectives and The Constantines! Thinking back from previous years, bands will keep getting added to the bill so be sure to keep checking because you never know who will be added!
P.S.: Tickets go on sale this Saturday (already!): $159 for a two day pass and $87 for Saturday or Sunday solo.

I’m actually excited to see Stereophonics live. I’ve never had the chance to so and their older albums sound great! And Bloc Party should be great too!
I agree about the future announcements. The Yeah Yeah Yeahs would be a great addition to the bill!
This lineup has made my day. I’m definitely going to go to see Oasis, Foo Fighters and Bloc Party.
This is the best Toronto VFest line up since ‘06. Last year was quite the dissapointment, and this makes up for it indeed.
To the post above: “Paul Weller, Stereophonics and Spiritualized, while relevant for British audiences, are hardly exciting for Canadians.”
No, just not exciting for you; there is fault in generalization.
My boss is going to this
I’m excited for Oasis but if Sia is there i’ll be there with Bells on… not literally.
Rah rah oo la la rama ma la la gaga!

I’ve gotta say, while I’m EXTREMELY excited that Oasis (and to a lesser extent, Foo Fighters - they put on a great show, but I’m not as big of a fan) is headlining, I’m more excited about future announcements.
Bloc Party also gets a huge “YEAHHHHH” from me. Terrific live, as we’ve seen before on Toronto Island (I think it was 2005??).
Unfortunately Paul Weller, Stereophonics and Spiritualized, while relevant for British audiences, are hardly exciting for Canadians. ESPECIALLY Stereophonics…what have they done for us in the last 15 years!? And Paul Weller, yes, he’s an icon because of his time in The Jam/The Style Council, but he’s an old sod now that’s kind of had his 15 minutes already.
And Spiritualized, from what I saw a few months ago when they toured, are like a live lullaby. Not exactly festival music.
Hopefully we’ll see some more female solo artists (come on - Yelle, Sia, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, even Feist, etc.) get added to the bill ASAP. Can’t wait!
