So we’re being lazy and standing on the moving sidewalk in the airport, right? And we’re lolling (is that a word?) to our gate, so we can fly to luxurious Calgary to cover one Virgin Festival. Adam the camera man catches up to us (he’s shooting for TV) and tells us that he’s beltless. Sans belt, un-beltified, pants in danger of falling off de-belted. Why?! Here’s why. Because he was wearing a Velvet Revolver belt buckle, which included gun insignia. INSIGNIA! I guess you’re not allowed to bring *anything* shaped like a gun on the plane. So they took away his belt and put it in storage until he returns.

Good thing they didn’t see my little revolver necklace. But it’s so eensy! Would they take that away from me?

Anyhoe, we’re here in Calgs, checked into our rooms and are prepping for a big weekend of performances from the likes of Stone Temple Pilots (was Scott Weiland leaving Velvet Revolver a curse on Adam’s belt?), Stars, Constantines, The Flaming Lips, The Tragically Hip, New Pornographers and lots more. Kat and I will be updating your face off (probably end of day on Saturday & Sunday, cause we don’t have internet access on site) with interviews, performance reviews, photos and hopefully even some video! So stay tuned… or else I will shake my fist at you.

Now we’re off to take on the downtown meat capital of Canada. Hold tight for more fun!
