This weekend, while you’re sitting inside sulking about not having any plans, MuchMusic.com will be busy enjoying 23 degree, sunny days in Calgary, Alberta at the city’s first ever edition of Virgin Festival!

Speaking of firsts, Wendy and I have never even BEEN to Calgary! But we’re gonna storm our way onto Fort Calgary festival grounds to bring you full coverage of the weekend’s festivities! We’ll be racing our way across the field checking out scads of bands (some that we’re already BFFs with, and some we haven’t heard yet!), interviewing some of them, and then documenting the whole thing on this here blog for you to enjoy. Check out the full festival lineup here and try and tell me you’re not as pumped as we are.

So check back throughout the weekend to read about our Calgarian (??) adventures. I’m gonna try my best not to get secondary meat sweats from all the beef that’s sure to be within arm’s reach at all times, and Wendy’s gonna try to not get stampeded by the hordes of eager festival-goers shoving their way to the front of the stage to get a feel for the Flaming Lips hermetically sealed festival bubble.
