Schizophrenia!!!
That’s how I would describe this year’s Virgin Festival so far - at least when it comes to Montreal vs Halifax.
Hali’s lineup was just announced, and it’s a complete 180 from Montreal’s. Whereas Quebec will see acts like Black Eyed Peas, Akon and NKOTB, Nova Scotia will get:
The Tragically Hip
The Offspring
Metric
Dinosaur Jr
Hey Rosetta!
Plants and Animals
Arkells
The site says that more will be announced. If I was still living in NS, I’d probably buy the ticket just for Metric, Plants and Animals and Dinosaur Jr .. wait, they cost $75.50?!?!?! *Cough* Okaaaaaay then. Whooo nelly. Anyway, tix go on sale this Saturday and The Big Day goes down on Saturday, July 4. Nova Scotia roll call, haaaayyy?!

Dinosaur Jr. in Halifax???
Has anyone (except Wendy) from Halifax ever even heard of Dinosaur Jr.???!
Bring those f**kers to the Toronto (er, Orillia) show, yo.
The line up may not be the best, but at least it’s not as brutal as Montreal’s. That’s giving some hope for the “Ontario” show.
So…Metric will be cool…the Offspring…I’ve seen the Tragically Hip a dozen times…what happened to acts like Coldplay, STP, the Beastie Boys!!???!?!? I wanted to see the Beastie Boys!!!
“Has anyone from Halifax ever even heard of Dinosaur Jr.?”
- What the hell?!
Oh hey, the east ocean air has not rotted our brains too bad, yeah, we have heard of Dinosaur. Jr.
pfft… Yeah we’ve heard of Dinosaur Jr.
you fu@#ers want to think your the only ones who listen to tight tunes.
bunch a jokes
is this a concert for kids in grade 6? That is the worst lineup EVER….the only band remotly worth seeing is the Offspring….not for $80 though……..Hey Rosetta,Plants and Animals, and Arkells are a bunch of ametuers…..what a crappy concert
The Tragically Hip canceld to the concert was FREE.
I went yesterday. I was in the front row. close to centre stage. You didn’t mention “Handsome Furs” they were quite good. Dinosaur Jr. was so fucking loud (i was expecting them to be). My ears are still ringing. Metric was AWESOME too.
The offspring was the last act. I had no interest in seeing a shitty punk band from the 90’s, so we left before they came on.
Rah rah oo la la rama ma la la gaga!
