Hi Guys! This is Eddie Della Siepe of Video On Trial. Since Darrin Rose and I are about to start a cross-Canada stand-up tour, this feels like a good time to de-mystify some of the myths that people have about stand up comedy tours.

1. Groupies?
Well, let’s be honest here – rock stars have groupies. Even guys who do karaoke have the odd girl who will pretend it’s really John Mayer up there, and toss their bra on stage. For comics? More than likely after every show we’ll take some photos with fans between the ages 16-19, Darrin and I will grab a drink, then a pita, and for me at least go to my hotel room and catch a re-run of Dancing with the Stars. What?! It’s not my fault those stars are also talented dancers!

2. Exotic Locations?
Well, define exotic. The definition I found online was “intriguingly
unusual or different; excitingly strange.” So if you think about it, it’s not that far off. I mean, there is a slight chance that Darrin and I will end up doing a show in a small town where even the women, children and dogs have mullets, and their biggest attraction is the new Burger King. Oh, and by chance, I mean we will.
