VPotW: Green Day’s “21 Guns”

This week’s edition of the Weekly Video Poll encourages you to go watch Green Day’s video for “21 Guns“, despite whatever we say. It is a pretty cool Green Day song.
That said, I can’t express enough how much the video is, well, kinda full of plot and logic holes. Like swiss cheese, or motel walls. Please consider the following:
1) If your motel room is being shot at, you should be a little more concerned that this couple.
1.5) On that note, DAMN those are some thin walls.
2) Is this a hostage situation? Is this woman experiencing Stockholm Syndrome?
3) Or were they romantically involved before, and robbed a convenience store, or something, and are now being hunted by the popo?
4) Who is that mysterious fourth man playing with Green Day, and why don’t we get to see his face?
5) Time Warp! How do Green Day and the Young Couple inhabit the same room at the same time?
6) With all those bullets flying through the walls, how come no one gets shot?
In addition, this video features some obvious product placement for 21st Century Breakdown, because I really doubt the snipers outside shot the fuse box, although you never know with walls that thin!
Provide to me some answers, Lucy: you got some ’splainin’ to do!

In response to question 4, the fourth member is Jason White. I’m pretty sure he’s been working with them since they released Warning, and if you recall, he appeared in the video for When I Come Around and was also a fourth member in the video for Wake Me Up When September Ends.

Honestly who really cares about all of that stuff? It isn’t real life, it’s a music video and a DAMN good one at that. If you have a problem with it well too bad for you, I don’t want to hear it.
So excited for their concert in Hamilton on July 16th, I’ve waited 6 years to see these them live, and I know that it will be very very very very very very very very very very very very very very well worth the wait.
