The man who has made a living out of making fun of boy bands now wants to create his own! If you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em?

Celeb blogger Perez Hilton, along with Simon Fuller, creator of American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance and manager of the Spice Girls, and Jamie King, pop music tour director for Madonna and Britney Spears, are looking for the next great boy band.

Hilton says that the trio is looking for “a boy band unlike any before. ALL the members will sing. ALL the members will dance.” I’m pretty sure those requirements will make this boy band EXACTLY like all bands before them. But, with these three men masterminding the project, the results could be stellar. Hilton has helped to launch the careers of The Gossip, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga and Sliimy by featuring their music on his website. In 2009, Hilton launched his own record label.

Contestants between the ages of 13-21 can submit their audition tapes here. It has yet to be confirmed whether Hilton will draw cocaine on the noses of contestants he doesn’t like.
