Hey, what about how everyone’s always complaining about MuchMusic VJs and reminiscing about how their favourites have moved on to work on other shows? What kind of VJ is MuchMusic and MuchMoreMusic missing? Hmmm…could it be…you?
All you have to do is come down to Much HQ for one morning and woo our producers with your wit and talent. Show off your knowledge of obscure pop culture and music trivia, or sound off about how you could make MuchMusic & MuchMoreMusic better. Or coerce your bubbliest and most opinionated friends into coming down for an audition. In fact, I have a few of my own in mind….
Some details:
Saturday, April 26 from 11am-5pm
Please bring a headshot, bio and reel (if you have one!).

What do you mean by reel? What format should it be?

I would like to become a Much Music VJ, but where would I get the money for plane tickets to Toronto, Ontario and money to pay for a hotel/motel room? And who would help me learn how to drive around Toronto? I only have my learner’s license, but someday I’m hoping to pass my driver’s license road test. My mom worries about me in a strange city that I’ve never been to before (I wanted to be a Much Music VJ temp one summer, but my mom was really against it so I never
went through with it). >:( Besides who would be willing to take me in while I try out for the Much Music VJ job at Much Music? Not everyone can put up with people who have a mental illness and have to live with a person who has it. But this would be an excellent way for me to make new friends and socialize with other Much Music VJ’s in between being on T.V. and behind the scenes. Because I’m on welfare, this job would get me off welfare and then I could do things that I couldn’t afford to do, like go to concerts and stuff. And if the Backstreet Boys were back on Much Music, maybe this would be a great way to meet them in person and still do a great job as a VJ (maybe get their autographs at the same time?). Depending on what kind of a job Much Music would train me for at Much Music. Even if it’s cleaning the bathrooms or something just to prove myself to the Much Music boss. In any case, if my mom wasn’t against this Much Music VJ idea of mine, I’d reconcider applying for this job on the spot!
I hope Much Music reads this on this website.
This VJ job would get me closer to all the actors, actresses, singers and music groups and still get to do a good job while working at Much Music. It’s not a dream but I wish I could be a Much Music VJ.

sadly I’m too young
bummer time
ps. new Be Your Own Pet owns
Whoever you hire as a new VJ I have only one request: make sure they are intelligent - not like the blathering morons on air now. I miss the days when VJ’s related to the audience as fellow sentient beings and not as a bunch of drooling drones.
I was surprised to see such a low turn out today! I got there early thinking there would be a huge line up but I’m guessing the TTC strike played a role. Oh well better chances for me I guess lol. Anyways it was fun and the people were really nice. I just had to fill some papers and do a quick interview. My friend had no way of getting there cause of the strike. Will there be another open call? or can she send in a reel? if so what format and is there a deadline to send it in?
I missed the 26th! I wasn’t privy to such an sweet opportunity. When is the next casting call? I must know!
Rah rah oo la la rama ma la la gaga!

I really wish I could audition, I would love to live the VJ lifestyle…I just don’t know if I will ever be comfortable infront of such a huge audience and deal with the criticism when something goes wrong… Plus I already have a pretty cool career and can’t really just drop all this to do that.
But I have a request MuchMusic, how about an Asian-Canadian guy? There have been a few Asian female VJ’s in the past, and that’s great! But I don’t think there have ever been any Asian male VJ’s over there before. Thanks.
