The music industry is more saturated than ever, which means bands and artists have to find new ways to reach their audience. Luckily for 5 Seconds of Summer, all four band members look great in red.
The Aussie pop punk band recently grabbed a few extra shifts at Target, hoping to help boost sales for their self-titled debut album, which was released on June 27. Their target at Target? Sell their disc to middle aged men.
We think the guys made have grabbed some prank-spiration from David Beckham, who was sent to Target in the past by Ellen DeGeneres in hopes of boosting sales for his cologne.
Watch as 5SOS hilariously try their hand at sales, including suggesting their album instead of microwaves and slipping their disc into unsuspecting customer’s carts. Lead singer Luke Hemmings is even outted at one point by a man fitting their middle aged demographic, but insists the person on the album cover isn’t him. “No, no, he’s awful.”
