But in case you need a refresher (just how much boozing did you do on New Years?) here’s a recap of the season so far!

Remember Juliet Sharpe: she’s hot, she’s smart, and she’ll kidnap and frame you for a night filled with enough booze and drugs to land you in rehab. Ask Serena van der Woodsen – she can tell you!

Why did Juliet attack Serena all of last year? She turned Dan Humphrey, Nate Archibald and Blair Waldorf against her and used Vanessa Abrams and Little J to land Serena at a rehab centre. But it turns out Juliet had the wrong target all along – she should have been targeting Serena’s momma, Lily Humphrey.

The big secret? Serena’s secret love from her boarding school days. Serena left NYC to be straightened out. But Serena being Serena, her first move was scoping out a total hottie to take to bed. Too bad that hottie was Professor Ben Donovan, Juliet’s brother. But he actually cares about his job and career and turned her down. Still, it was enough to start the rumours and things started to get bad.

Lily had to take Serena back to NYC without the scandal following. So Lily tweaked the story and made it seem like Ben raped Serena. The school quietly fired him and sent an innocent man to prison for four years.

Suddenly Juliet is not that bad. She was just getting some good old fashioned revenge. But the truth’s out now and Serena is picking up right where Juliet left off – she needs to get even with her mother.

And Chuck Bass is coming along for the ride. After living away from all the action in France for the summer, Chuck came back to Manhattan with one goal in mind: Blair Waldorf. But they realized they both need to stand on their own two feet alone before they could stand together. Awww….isn’t that sweet?

Chuck tried standing on his own two feet by taking back Bass Industries from Lily. (Lily is the owner cause Chuck was underage when he inherited it from his father). But it seems Lily was also scheming behind Chuck’s back. Even though she promised to give the company back to Chuck, she secretly negotiated to sell it to another set of investors.

Bad move Lily – if there’s one thing you don’t want, it’s Chuck Bass as an enemy. And he’s working with your daughter Serena to take you down!
