Beyonce is back with her first video without Ms. Gaga in a while and gurlfriend is not messin’ around! Why Don’t You Love Me is a return to the female empowerment lyrics and groundbreaking videos that Beyonce has become known for. Why Don’t You Love Me has an infectious booty shakin’, hips snappin, fierce attitude pumpin quality that you can only get with a Beyonce track.

The video is a pure throwback to the mid century homemaker persona played perfectly by Beyonce while wearing a variety of hot pants, bustiers and thigh highs. By fixing the car, cleaning the house and gardening in high heels and full make-up, Beyonce’s ode to the 1950s is bang on. During a short interlude in the song Beyonce dusts off numerous Grammy’s on the mantle. The greatest thing about this scene is that the viewers are in on the joke – this ain’t the 1950s anymore and those Grammy’s belong to Beyonce, not the fictitious man she sits at home waiting for. Rosie the Riveter would be proud.
