Christina Aguilera recently made a comeback with her new album, Lotus, and in this four-part Q&A, the pop star gets really into all the details behind the making of this album, her collaborators, her curves and how being a judge on The Voice has influenced her music.
“I’ve come to a place in my life where I’m embracing everything I’m about,” Aguilera says about Lotus. “It’s all about embracing yourself, empowerment and freedom; there’s a lot of inspiring messages.”
On why she named the album Lotus, Aguilera says, “It’s the unbreakable flower; whatever its surroundings, it still survives.”
And even though she won’t be returning for the next season of The Voice, the current coach says that being part of the show has inspired her to push herself even further on this new record and she even jokes that it has “re-inspired me to give the new generation new adlibs to dissect and learn!”
Watch all four parts of the interview below and be sure to go and grab a copy of Lotus now! And while you’re at it, a bottle of hair dye because Christina’s dip-dyed red and purple hair is too wonderful for words!Tweet
