Watch Girl Talk’s NYE concert film

Few performers out there can entertain at the same capacity as mash-up wizard Gregg Gillis, aka Girl Talk. The man knows how to turn his concerts into a sweaty, headbanging, body-grinding marathon.

Last New Year’s Eve, Gillis threw the party to end all parties. And of course, he caught it all on camera.

Now you can see Girl Talk’s legendary gig at the Congress Theater in Chicago from the planning process, where he explains how the $35 ticket helped fund a five-room house stage design to consulting his “weird ambassadors of fun” and official “Toilet Paper Launchers” Chris and Thu, as well as Andrew Strasser who looks after the mind-bending visuals. And then there’s Ben Kinsley, a friend of Gillis’ who proposes to his girlfriend in front of 5000 people.

Of course, it is a concert film, so you do get to experience what it’s like to be there up close and personal, and see Gillis lose his sh*t.
