Watch Joe Jonas, Lil’ Jon & Jake G in new Vampire Weekend video

The awesome new video for Vampire Weekend’s “Giving Up The Gun” just premiered on Spinner.ca.
In the clip, the band plays courtside at a surreal tennis game, as Joe Jonas competes against Vampire Weekend muse Jenny. The game, of course, is reffed by Wu-Tang Clan leader the RZA. With fitting randomness, actor Jake Gyllenhaal also appears in this video for the latest single from VW’s second album, Contra (watch out for the part where he gets a forehand smash in the bum).
The “Give Up The Gun” video was helmed by the Malloy Brothers, who have also directed videos by the Jonas Brothers and the White Stripes, among others.
“I was pretty surprised it all worked out,” Vampire Weekend frontman Ezra Koenig told Spinner.ca. “We always thought RZA would be perfect. We’d been in touch with Lil Jon since the first album… Joe Jonas and Jake Gyllenhaal were both excellent – lot of improvisation and some surprisingly powerful serves.”
