Watch Katy Perry make it as a marine in Making of “Part of Me”

As if we didn’t see enough raw emotion from Katy Perry in her video for Part of Me, we now have a behind the scenes look at the video shoot in a twenty minute exclusive, Making of “Part of Me”. The video for the song is just over four minutes long, but we see Katy spend days at Marine Corps base Fort Pendleton, training with the forces and getting a taste of what it’s like to be a marine. Watching Perry wrestle under water, complete a grueling obstacle course, and develop her skills in getting yelled at by drill sergeants reminds us that it isn’t always cotton candy and lollipops for the California Gurls singer.

Perry kicks ass in this exclusive look at her latest music video and it makes us even more excited for when Katy Perry: Part of Me comes out in 3-D on the Fourth of July weekend. Being a marine is by no means easy nor glamourous, but somehow Katy Perry makes it look fun. Watch her do it all in the videos below.
