Watch Katy Perry’s new video for Wide Awake

Katy Perry takes us on a metaphorical journey through her life and her Teenage Dream saga with the final chapter, Wide Awake. When we saw the trailer, we knew it would a retelling of her story from California Gurls to Part Of Me. And now that we have Wide Awake we can finally put The Complete Confection behind us (but not before we watch the video of course!).

The video follows Katy and a young Katheryn (Katy’s real first name) travel through a dream-like labyrinth, breaking though various obstacles: scary paparazzi, bull-headed guardsmen, and a lying Prince Charming which may or may not be a tribute to her soon to be ex-husband, Russell Brand. As they smash through these barriers, it is clear to see that Katy Perry is onto better and brighter things.
