Watch Odd Future’s Earl Sweatshirt discuss his absence

Today sees the release of The Odd Future Tape Vol. 2 , the sequel to 2008′s The Odd Future Tape and “official” debut album by the motley rap crew. Perhaps the most anticipated part of the release is that it marks the return of the group’s most talented MC, Earl Sweatshirt, on the track “Oldie.” Missing for a good year, reportedly because he was shipped off to Samoa by his disapproving mother, Earl has resurfaced and was recently interviewed by Hot 97′s Peter Rosenberg, along with Tyler and Taco from OFWGKTA. In the 11-minute chat, Earl discusses missing out on the Odd Future phenomena and why he was sent away.
