One Direction have released the lyric video for their love ballad Little Things off the band’s upcoming sophomore album Take Me Home. It only takes about two lines of the song before it becomes evident that Little Things was penned by British singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran, who also worked with the band on the song Over Again off the new disc.
The acoustic love song is a big change up for the pop-driven band, who sound like they’re mirroring Sheeran’s vocals on the tracks. Sheeran’s Little Things shows growth within the band, moving One Direction into a slightly new direction.
Take Me Home, due out November 12, has already produced the upbeat track Live While We’re Young, similar to the band’s breakout single What Makes You Beautiful.
