Pink is knocking her singles out of the park with her latest disc The Truth About Love. The outspoken entertainer has been digging deep with her emotional tracks, including Blow Me (One Last Kiss) and Try and now she’s teamed up with fun.’s Nate Ruess for the third single from her 2012 album with Just Give Me A Reason.
Heavily influenced by the Broadway sound of Ruess’ day job with fun., Just Give Me A Reason features the two viewpoints from a couple in a relationship, with one partner worried the love is broken, while the other thinks things are fine.
The video features Pink giving an emotional performance as she lies on a bare mattress that is floating in a sea of water and fog. The two singers also perform together in a simple setting while holding vintage mics and singing to one another.
But the most memorable scenes in the video include Pink on the mattress and in the water with real-life husband Carey Hart. The intimate moments show the couple laying in bed together and passionately kissing in the water. This isn’t the first time Hart has appeared in a music video by his wife. He also had a cameo in her video for So What, which was recorded and shot while the couple were separated.
Just Give Me A Reason is a strong follow-up to Pink’s impressive music video for Try, which showcased her athleticism and abilities as a dancer in the simplistic and moving video. In addition to Ruess, Pink’s sixth studio album also features guest vocals from Lily Allen and Eminem.
Pink’s The Truth About Love Tour is set to kick off next week in Arizona, with a Toronto date on March 11 and Montreal on March 12.Tweet
