While Rihanna is known for her sexy costumes and chameleon-like looks throughout her impressive music video library, the pop singer doesn’t typically feature her dance skills, until today. With Rihanna’s Where Have You Been video hitting the net for the first time this morning, fans are treated to intricate and impressive choreography performed by Rihanna and her backup dancers in a variety of settings and outfits changes.
Travelling the world in her latest music video while ‘looking for her lover’, Rihanna has been promoting the vid for weeks, tweeting topless photos of herself from set and releasing behind the scenes clips on the making of the video. Working with choreographer Hi-Hat, Rihanna explained the vibe of her video for Where Have You Been, saying “…this one is just all performance. It’s all about evoking an emotion through your body.” Rihanna also said that the video would not have been made without a heavy dance-theme, saying “I was never gonna shoot this video if I couldn’t do choreography ’cause it would be pretty pointless. It would be disappointing.”
Produced by dance hit makers Dr. Luke and DJ Calvin Harris, Where Have You Been is on point to be Rihanna’s next huge single, with an impressive music video to back the track. Check out Rihanna in Where Have You Been below.
