While writing their fourth album Get Your Heart On, Simple Plan reached out to their millions of fans on Twitter to ask them about a song that changed or even saved their lives. The response to the Montreal band’s request was overwhelming and resulted in the lyrics for This Song Saved My Life.
The band has now released an emotional and stirring video for the song, telling the story of children being forced to work in slave-like conditions in a sweat shop. Partnering with MTV, Simple Plan is committed to do their part to end exploitation and trafficking and are starting by bringing awareness to the topic.
Watch Simple Plan’s video for This Song Save My Life below and don’t miss the band this Sunday when they hit the stage as part of The Big Jingle. Tickets for the event are still available and can be purchased here.
