Watch the trailer for Stephanie Meyer’s The Host

For all your Twi-hards getting an early start on your mourning period before the final film has even been released, take some reprieve in knowing that Twilight author Stephanie Meyer has again received the film treatment, this time for her novel The Host.

Starring Saoirse Ronan, Diane Kruger, Boyd Holbrook, Max Irons and William Hurt, The Host tells the story of a time when humans are quickly becoming extinct and their bodies taken over by a host life form. When Saoirse Ronan’s human character Melanie is implanted with a Host, her human memories fight through, bringing her back to the humans she left behind.

The first full length trailer for The Host was released this week and appears to be staying true to Meyer’s novel. Not a Twilight fan? Not a problem. Other than sharing the same author and a love triangle, The Host is an exciting science fiction novel for young adults. The Host is set to invade theatres on March 29, 2013.
