On this week’s episode of The Wedge, we decided to look back at the ten videos we’ve aired since the show began back in January. Since host Damian Abraham is away on tour with his band Fucked Up, we figured it would be the perfect time to do such a thing.

Having previously aired more than 20 episodes, there was approximately 200-plus videos to choose from. But after narrowing it down to 30 or so, we finalized a top ten that we were more than happy to co-sign. If you disagree with any of our picks, feel free to comment below. Just know this, Damian had no say in the matter, which is something he was happy to point out on Twitter: “This week on #theWedge it’s #TheBestVideosoftheYearSoFar as chosen by #theWedge team BUT NOT ME (becasue I’m on tour) ie Don’t get mad at me.”

Oh and while we did air brief snippets of “honourable mentions” that just missed the cut, we felt it was important to acknowledge Is Tropical’s video for their song “The Greeks,” which is easily one of the best videos of the year (possibly even ever). Of course, our broadcast standards don’t allow us to air the video on television because it does contain children in violent circumstances (cartoon, however), so yeah, viewer discretion may be advised.
