It seems everyone is making a cover of Magic!’s hit song Rude. Last week we posted about Benji Cowatt’s cover from the dad’s point of view. And now there’s a new video in response to both Magic!’s original song and Benji’s cover. Nicky Costabile turned the current number 1 song on the Billboard chart into a feminist anthem. The YouTuber recorded herself singing her cover that tells the daughter’s side of the story. In the video, Nicky criticizes both men for being controlling and crude. Rude has been accused of being anti-feminist in the past especially after Lena Dunham’s comical tweet.
Feel v. concerned about the girl who the song Rude is about. What's her POV? Has she even consented to marrying a Canadian reggae singer?

I doubt Magic! were trying to be anti-feminist when they wrote their hit song, but it’s nice to know someone is thinking about the daughter.Tweet
