We Are Scientists: Concert Review

September 7th, 2007

Thanks to my great friends, I was lucky enough to go to the We Are Scientists show at Lee’s Palace last night. There were 3 great reasons why I would have wanted to go to this show.

1. We Are Scientists LIVE! (nothing else needs to be said)
2. The venue.
3. It was a 19+ show which meant no kids!

So going into the show my friends and I were speculating whether We Are Scientists would play any new material. They delivered not 1, 2, or 3 new songs but a lot more than we all expected and it was great! After hearing their new material, I cannot wait for their new album to come out and everyone should be on the lookout as these guys are going to rock! Some of the tracks they played off of With Love and Squalor included Nobody Move, Nobody Get Hurt, It’s A Hit, This Scene Is Dead, The Great Escape and Worth The Wait. This was the second time I’ve seen these guys and they were as good, if not better, than the first time I saw them. All in all great show and can’t wait for the new album.

Till next time…

  3. My favourite part of the show was their funny banter.

“Did you know that this riff-rock song has more riffs than any other riff-rock song ever?”
