We Are (Very Funny) Scientists

When I heard We Are Scientists were coming to MTV Live and playing a short set, I decided that I couldn’t miss it. They played It’s A Hit and The Great Escape as well of one new song off their upcoming album. Afterwards, I was lucky enough to meet the very attractive Keith Murray when he thanked me and my friends for dancing during their set (we were pretty much the only ones who were). Not to be a huge fangirl or anything…but I almost died!

Since their album With Love and Squalor came out, I’ve been a huge We Are Scientists fan. Their music is relatable and comforting, yet up-tempo and fun to dance to. Keith Murray, Chris Cain, and Michael Tapper not only make amazing “rock music of the thoughtful, sometimes epic, often loud, vaguely danceable, implicitly humanist variety”, but they are also quite humourous.

If you check out their official site, you can find some great advice and articles that the band have all written themselves. Watch any interview with them on YouTube and you’ll laugh (This is one of my favourites at the moment)! Definitely give them a listen, a new album is on the way!
