All the speeches and presentations at We Day here in Toronto were inspirational. We definitely listened to the triumphant spirit of Robin Wiszowaty who wrote the memoir, My Maasai Life: From Suburbia to Savannah regarding her personal story living with a Maasai family in Kenya all the way to the remarkable Lieutenant-General The Honourable Romeo A. Dallaire, who talked about the importance of being part of a generation without borders (and you thought your smart phone was just for Emojis). But one of the most inspiring of all was the story of Spencer West who has overcome obstacles after losing his legs at the age of five and has since climbed to the summit of Mount Kilimajaro … using only his hands.
Check out pictures below of the inspirational speakers from the 2012 Toronto We Day and don’t miss the Vancouver We Day on October 18 beginning at 9:30 am onMuchMusic.com.
