We Day shines with stars Joe Jonas, Aislinn Paul, Hedley and more!

The amazing list of hosts, speakers, guests and performers has been released for We Day 2011 in Toronto and Vancouver and as always this will is an event not to be missed! Joe Jonas will be hosting the Toronto We Day on September 27 (the event will be live streamed all day on MuchMusic.com and an encore broadcast presentation will air on MuchMusic on Sunday, October 30 at 10 pm ET).

Joe will be joined on stage throughout the day by an incredible list of personalities, including rappers Classified and Kardinal Offishal, activists Mary Robinson, Danny Glover, Dr. Patch Adams and Rick Hansen, The Kenyan Boy Choir, Munro Chambers and Aislinn Paul from Degrassi as well as City and Colour, Neverest, Nikki Yanofsky, Shawn Desman and Nelly Furtado.

On October 13 Vancouver will be home to its own We Day, which can also be streamed live all day on MuchMusic.com with an encore broadcast presentation on MuchMusic on Sunday, October 30 at 10 pm ET. Much like Toronto, Vancouver also boasts an impressive line up of speakers and performers, including Shaquille O’Neal, Hedley, Down With Webster, Mikhail Gorbachev, Mia Farrow, Liz Murray, Jessi Cruikshank and MuchMusic’s own Jesse Giddings. More special guests, including a host, are still to be announced.

On We Day students from across North America team up with Free The Children to be inspired to get involved in their communities, pledging to take action in at least one local and one international issue throughout the school year. Students who attend the We Day events are encouraged to tell their peers at school about their experience on We Day and together make a plan of action to see change in their location and global communities.
