One of my favourite things about living in Toronto is the access to some of the best concerts in the country. Everyone comes to Toronto so there is definitely no shortage of live acts to see. That is for everyone…except Interpol.

The NYC rock band recently decided to skip the big city venues in Toronto and play at small (and I mean small) venues in Ontario cities like Kingston, London, and Ottawa. But that was no stopping Devon and me from jumping in a car after MOD wrapped up and driving to the city of cute people (London) to catch one of our favourite bands play at a bar called, (and I kid you not) Cowboys! Interpol in a Cowboy bar?? weird… Why would they go to Cowboys? We might never know – but in case any of you want to check it out – there is a band called “The Bareback Riders” playing there soon… uh ya – seriously! Something tells me it won’t be as popular as last night…

Although a bit short, the setlist was amazing! They previewed three new songs from their upcoming album (coming out on June 5) and some of their best hits. We unfortunately had to bail out before the encore because we had to drive back to Toronto, but nonetheless – the trip was soooooooo worth it!!!

I wish I had pics to post but there were lots of beefy security dudes scanning the crowd for cameras and I was not gonna risk getting kicked out of this show.

Good news for the rest of the country – you can still catch this amazing band at various little venues in Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton and Vancouver. For Toronto peeps – you gotta wait until they come back for the Virgin Festival in September. If you haven’t got tickets yet – DO IT NOW!
