It’s actually dangerous

Let’s just say it – how weird would it be if Weird Al’s brand new album Mandatory Fun didn’t have a cover of Lorde’s Royals? An oversight like that could have taken Weird Al’s fourteenth studio disc from LOLZAMINUTE to WAITWHAT? Royals is already one of the most parodied songs in years (a quick YouTube search will back up that statement) and who better to parody the track than the master of all parodies, Weird Al. Parody parody parody.
As usual with Weird Al, the musician and children’s author went the educational route with Foil, explaining what happens to food when it’s not wrapped properly. Then there’s a whole part about aliens, but we’ll let you decide whether or not you agree with those statements.
Foil is the third release from Weird Al’s #8days8video campaign to support Mandatory Fun, which was released yesterday. So far this week we’ve learned what it means to be Tacky and watched Word Crimes, a video that ingests six years of grammar lessons into three minutes. We aren’t kidding about the educational angle.
