We’re trying to remember the best of Toronto (while it’s Polar Vortexing)
January 21st, 2014
Okay, Mother Earth, we get it. It’s freaking freezing and we only really have ourselves to blame (thanks, non-renewable energy resources, we’ve learned our lesson). While it’s -21 degrees Celsius right now in Toronto (and don’t get us started on wind chill) we’ve resorted to solutions for our misery that lie beyond the space heater: this beautiful video by local video director Gary Samson.
Filmed during the glory that was last summer, Gary followed Jeff Gee around the city on his skateboard capturing warm city moments and the sunny atmosphere. Gary described the video as, “[a] personal project shot in the summer of 2013 with the help of a few good friends. An ode to a beautiful day in the city of Toronto.” A beautiful day, indeed. The video also features a track from Broken Social Scene, Lover’s Spit which you can pick up here.
Thanks Gary for this breath of fresh air. Now, could you help us zip this goose-down jacket? Yeah, thanks.
