Whacko Jacko is Backo

NME.com reports that Michael Jackson has re-recorded and remixed his hit album ‘Thriller’ to celebrate its 25th Anniversary. And as awesome as that sounds, I can’t help but be the cynical and jaded ol’ me and think that this is just a blatant cash grab for The King of Pop who has had much-publicized financial issues as of late. But hey – I’m not complaining – ‘Thriller’ is amazing.

Apparently the Black Eyed Peas are contributing on this new album: will.i.am will take Paul McCartney’s part on “The Girl Is Mine” and Fergie will join in on “Beat It.” And Kanye West has also remixed a song.

I’m definitely intrigued. The album, although before my time, had me dancing as soon as I could walk. It also had quite the impact on some big-time artists such as Wyclef, Beyonce, Mary J. & Pharrell, who all have something to say in this video:

‘Thriller: 25th Anniversary Edition’ will be released on February 12th.
