What The Funk: Silverchair

In this installment of What The Funk, we discuss Daniel Johns‘ (Silverchair) extreme creepiness in the following pic.

This photo disturbs me greatly. First of all, WHAT is Daniel Johns wearing? It looks like a carboard cutout suit. Second of all, the chest hair - it’s terrifying and feels like it shouldn’t be there. Let’s not even talk about the facial hair. The facial EXPRESSION. And the headband? And what in the aych ee double hockeysticks is drummer Ben Gillies doing?!

Meh, that NORMAL for him…he was much creepier during the Diorama era.

They’re just being themselves. They always go through different stages… because they’re always growing.

During Diorama he was sick and recovering (which allowed him to become such an amazing expressionist).

I think Daniel is very attractive… but as for the chest hair, I’ve seen him live without it! :S

And Ben is Ben. No other words.

Oh and as for the suit… it’s supposed to reflect their album design… and I’ll agree… I’m not digging it either.

Ah well.

Daniel Johns is eccentric, cheeky, talented, intelligent & gorgeous to ‘boot’..cardboard box & chest hair included…I love the pic. of them all.
