Tonight marks the incredible 100th episode of Pretty Little Liars, a huge feat for any TV series. We’ve been hooked since day one and are not in the least bit surprised that the drama is still going strong, though we’re constantly taken aback by how after five years, the creators continue to keep us on the edge of our seats every Tuesday.
While every episode of Pretty Little Liars packs a punch, we know the series loves to go extra big for finales and premieres, and in tonight’s case, 100th episodes.
To prepare for what we can only guess is going to be the biggest PLL ever (Christmas in July, y’all!) let’s recap what we know going into tonight’s 100th episode of Pretty Little Liars, airing at 8E/5P on M3.
Alison makes her return to Rosewood High. After a few years of being dead and now a month of being alive, it’s time for Alison to return to Rosewood High School. Here’s our question – what grade will she be in? Her friends have been busy putting together college applications, but I assume Alison wasn’t keeping up with her studies while she was on the run from ‘A’.
Mona is having none of this. We know Mona is beyond pissed that Alison is back in town. Heck, she full-out threatened Alison after following her to Alison’s ‘grave’, easily the creepiest place to threaten a person. Mona has been rallying the troops and with Alison back at school, it’s go-time.
There will be another Mona/Alison showdown. And it’s going to happen in a dark, empty church. This may out-creepy the creepy grave meeting.
Caleb is back! If for no other reason to tune in tonight, Caleb *thatface* Rivers is back in Rosewood. Hellz to the yes.
Aria and Ezra are spending a lot of time together. It’s not like we didn’t see this coming and while I have to keep reminding myself that Ezra only started dating Aria because he was obsessed with Alison (ew factor), it truly seems like he loves her. And the dude took a bullet for her, so that’s pretty badass.
Emily and Paige have left the ‘friend zone’. While the girls were trying to be friends during last week’s episode, it seems that Alison’s return to school has squashed any hope of that. Paige is crying, Emily still has feelings for Alison, and being in love in high school sucks.
Is Emilson going to happen? Speaking of Emily still being in love with Alison, we’re pretty sure that the youngest DiLaurentis will continue to use her friend’s feelings to help her agenda, especially now that she’s Rosewood High’s number one target.
Alison’s friends are supporting her. While the girls have spent a lot of time trying to distance themselves from Alison and her lies since she returned to Rosewood, it appears the foursome are going to back their friend up on her first day of school. Also, what happened to the cute pink backpack she showed her dad? A toned down look may have served her better in this instance.
No sleepovers at Spencer’s house. Mr. Hastings has quickly become Suspect #1 in the murder case against Mrs. DiLaurentis and even Mrs. Hastings is scared. So now I’m scared.
Hanna is about to enter a romantic triangle. Caleb is back. But Travis is also back and seems to be getting very comfortable with Hanna. This is gonna be good.
Pretty much everyone on PLL is going to be in a room together. This has never, ever, ever happened before. Is there already a Lifetime movie about Alison on TV? That was fast.
