Sloan, one of the most prolific bands in Canadian music, has been gaining fans around the world for two decades, 10 albums and two EPs. In celebration of the bands 20th Anniversary they’ve put out a very cool set of documentaries featuring interviews with some of the bands biggest fans.
In the first part we see a huge list of celeb fans share their favourite Sloan song, including Jason Schwartzman, Joel Plaskett, Rob Benvie of The Dears, Thrush Hermit, Damian Abraham of F**ked Up and MuchMusic’s The Wedge, Sebastien Grainger of Death From Above 1979, Stefan Brogen of Degrassi, Dave Foley of The Kids In The Hall, Kevin Drew of Broken Social Scene, Buck 65 AKA Rich Terfry, Ian D’Sa and Kowalewicz of Billy Talent, Murray Lightburn and Natalia Yanchak of The Dears, Jason Falkner, Butch Walker, and Dave Hamlin of The Stills.
The videos are the fifth and sixth parts in a series celebrating the 20th anniversary of Sloan, which will be unveiling nine more over the next two weeks at their Vimeo page. You can also watch the first videos below.
In other news, Sloan release their tenth album, Double Cross, tomorrow. But, you can hear it now over at our First Spin section. Click here to do that.
