It’s actually dangerous

It was 25 years ago this week that Michael Keaton first flew onto the big screen as Batman, with Tim Burton behind the camera and Jack Nicholson giving one of his greatest performances as The Joker. Since then, the late Heath Ledger has gone on to reprise Nicholson’s role, while Keaton returned to the bat cave once more before handing over his suit to Val Kilmer, George Clooney, and finally Christian Bale.
Now it’s Ben Affleck’s turn to take on the dual role of Bruce Wayne and Batman, a casting choice that has been met with criticism for the Oscar winner. I’ve decided to withhold any pre-conceived notions as to whether Affleck can pull off the task, since I was soooo off base about Anne Hathaway as Catwoman (amazing!).
Affleck’s success as the next Batman in the super hero franchise is yet to be seen, but one thing that’s for sure is that there were Batman’s before Affleck, and there will be Batman’s to come.
The good people at ADHD have put together a list of actors they think could take on Gotham City next and have been kind enough to give us both a visual and oral example.
Ever wondered whether Adam Sandler would make a good Batman? Me neither, but take a look anyways.
