For whatever reason, white rappers in the music industry are few and far between. Vanilla Ice is probably one of the most recognizable white rappers to ever touch the rap game. “Ice Ice Baby” is a classic and cemented Ice as playing a pivotal role in mainstreaming hip hop in the late 80’s. Unfortunately, Vanilla Ice didn’t weather the hip hop storm as well as other artists and hasn’t released produced anything close to the popularity of “Ice Ice Baby”.
On the other hand, we have Eminem and the Beastie Boys who have been around for nineteen and thirty-two years respectively. There’s no question of these two acts popularity and talent. Eminem and the Beastie Boys have both experienced lulls in their careers but it hasn’t effected their longtime success as they’ve been releasing albums periodically since the 90s.
Now we have a new wave of white rappers who are making names for themselves in music industry. Here’s a list of hip hop’s most promising white rappers right now. Click on the song names to watch their music videos.
