At a UNICEF show over the weekend Selena Gomez took the stage to sing some girl power infused hits like Trouble by her bestie Taylor Swift and … Baby One More Time by pop icon Britney Spears. Selena also chose to cover Justin Timberlake’s Cry Me A River. Wait, what? Covering Cry Me A River leaves even less to the imagination than a connect-the-dots Taylor Swift relationship anthem. “This song definitely speaks to me,” Selena revealed before launching into the song. We get it, Jelena. We’re gonna read between the lines. Back in November Justin sang Cry Me A River in Boston after one of their break ups and yeah, we speculated about that too.
Now the question remains: Who did Cry Me A River better: Justin or Selena?

Having an accompanying Spanish guitarist wearing a fedora beside him? Check.
You know what? Both of these can’t hold a candle to the original by Justin Timberlake.
