Who will be the next Nicki Minaj, Lady Gaga, Rihanna and more in 2011?

With so much amazing music from new artists already burning up the charts in 2011 it’s time to make predictions as to who is going to blow up this year. Comparisons can sometimes be insulting if an artist thinks they sound nothing like the person they are being compared to, but I think anyone on this list that is still in the minors would be happy to be compared to music’s homerun hitters.

Yes, I know there will never be another Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Robyn, etc., but there are some up and comers that have had the door opened for them as a result of the success of pop stars before them.

Let’s take a look at who is going to be the next (blank) in 2011!

Swedish pop star Robyn has made her name by making smart pop with non-disposable beats and lyrics. Her songs can make you dance and cry at the same time and that's no small feat. Interestingly enough, it was two Swedish producers who discovered Sky on MySpace. With her strong, deep set vocals, penchant for outfits that land her on the pages of Nylon and affinity for pop of the non-bubblegum flavour (she appeared in Uffie's video for Pop the Glock), Sky is on track to be creating songs that make us dance...and cry.

As part of the modeling competition the girls have to eat. Models eating! Amazing! Oh wait, they have to eat food from each other’s country? That makes more sense. The British girls noticed that the US team made plus size model Seymone eat all the food. Candace makes fun of Seymone for not sharing the haggis, upsetting Seymone and proving that Candace is mean enough to win the whole thing.
