Who’s Got Next?

The music industry is so crazy right now. It seems like everyday a new artist is dropping and becoming huge, but some don’t really last that long. Here are some artists that I think will make noise in ‘08:
* definitely the Cool Kids. Their style is a mash-up of throwback and modern, and they really seem to be on the way. (on a side note, their business game needs to step up, still no Black Mags for Much, and I can’t wait to play that video on Rapcity).
* Kid Sister - and really, I’m going to say that anyone in ‘08 associated with Kanye and A-Trak will also be big in ‘08, keep your fingers crossed for Consequence too.
* Joell Ortiz - he was signed to Aftermath, (that’s Dr. Dre’s label, you know, the one that discovered 50 Cent, The Game and Eminem) and I’m hearing that he’s not anymore - but I still think you’ll be hearing about him. He’s getting a lot of hype right now and everything Dre touches eventually becomes big anyway.
P.S. My mentor Celine said I need to get more personal on my blogs, so here goes:
I’m on no sleep right now because I stayed up until 2:30 last night, I just couldn’t sleep for whatever reason … ok, some bad Kevin Bacon movie and it didn’t help that I was doing laundry until midnight. But if I ever become president of the world I’m making Monday the third day of the weekend, cause I’m thinking two days isn’t going to get me caught up on sleep and I can’t wait until Family Day. If that’s not enough personal info ask me whatever in the comments - I’m super tired and will probably answer honestly.
