“Dear Fox News, don’t play our music on your evil f*king channel ever again. Thank you“. That’s the message that started it all.
Adam Levine used the power of Twitter to let the Fox News program Red Eye and it’s hosts Greg Gutfeld and Andy Levy, know that they suck, and they can’t use his music.
The two hosts fired back with these gems:
Gutfeld: “Dear adam, That’s not music”
Levy: “Dear @AdamLevine, don’t make crappy f*king music ever again. Thank you.”
Not the classiest approach, but Red Eye, and specifically these hosts, often create controversy that can be see as hateful. They spurned a movement to open a gay Muslim bar next to the proposed mosque that was to be built next to Ground Zero in New York just to offend Muslims. They also pissed off Canada when they mocked our Canadian troops three days before four of them lost their lives fighting in Afghanistan in 2009.
Levine isn’t a stranger to controversy either however. He took to Twitter earlier this year to slam MTV with the tweet: “The VMA’s. one day a year when MTV pretends to still care about music”
We’re not sure exactly which Adam Levine song was used on the Fox program, but it does beg the question – if the hosts don’t like his music, why use it on their show?
